Nova Talent are delighted to be working alongside our client, a world leading provider of Communication Solutions within the Aviation & Defence sectors. Together we are recruiting a Contracts Officer to join the Commercial Team, primarily based in Market Deeping. This is a varied and pivotal role within the business by supporting proposals, providing customer support, and ensuring the delivery of high quality contractual agreements with clients and partners. You will work collaboratively with teams across the business, including Business Development, Programmes, Engineering, and Operations.

A bit about what you will be doing:

  • Contribute to the development of customer proposals, working closely with Business Development, Programme Management, and Engineering teams to understand contractual and project delivery requirements, identifying commercial risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the commercial focal point during bid reviews and provide contractual support throughout delivery and support phases.
  • Draft, review, and finalise customer agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to negotiate and conclude contracts.
  • Continuously review and enhance processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Coordinate due diligence information and ensure documentation accuracy.

What we are looking for:

  • Bring proven experience in all aspects of contractual bid support, contracting, and subcontracting within an international environment. Including, but not limited to, teaming agreements, NDAs, and licence agreements.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial principles and programme delivery risks in a global context.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all business functions.
  • Show a solid grasp of risk identification and management, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
