About the Opportunity

We are seeking a candidate to execute the winding up of a law practice. This 3‑to 6‑month term requires an individual capable of:

  • Organizing the transfer of active files to new counsel
  • Directing the orderly disposition and storage of closed files in compliance with NSBS File Opening & Closing guidelines.
  • Assisting in the reconciliation and closure of trust accounts.
  • Managing formal client notifications and external communications regarding the firm’s closure.
  • Managing file systems and administrative tasks to support ongoing legal work.
  • Ensuring high levels of accuracy and confidentiality in all matters.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Property Experience (Strong Asset): Previous experience in property law, residential conveyancing, or real estate transactions is highly preferred.
  • Legal Background: Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to work independently under deadlines.
  • Local Residency: Ability to work in‑person at our Bedford office.
