Key Duties:
- Determine the correct liable party for Business Rates and Bid Levy in order for all required notices to be issued as soon as practicable.
- Ensure eligibility to any potential reliefs and exemptions.
- Provide high quality professional advice, guidance and support in respect of Business Rates or Bid Levy to customers and external partners.
- Assist in the review of reliefs and exemptions to maximise due to the council and identify and reduce incidences of fraud.
- Assist with the gathering of evidence prior to Liability Order Hearings.
Requirements:
- Experience of working as a Business Rates Officer.
- Experience of providing high quality professional advice, guidance and support.
- Experience of working within a local authority.
