Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a dynamic and child‑centred Behaviour Team at Toot Hill School
- Manage and coordinate staffing in the Reset Room
- Supervise students removed from lessons for behavioural reasons, ensuring a calm, structured, and purposeful learning environment
- Actively work with students to reflect on their actions, understand behaviour policies and facilitate restorative conversations to support their return to class
- Manage the behaviour, welfare and academic achievement of our students
- Work closely with students, parents, carers and staff to remove barriers to learning and progress
- Work closely with pastoral staff, Heads of Year, and Senior Leaders to enforce school policies and communicate with staff regarding students' needs
- Analyse data to inform and implement appropriate intervention, mentoring or counselling, ensuring our students respond positively
- Keep accurate, high‑quality records of behaviour incidents, interventions, and student progress at Toot Hill School
- Have strong, consistent, and firm behaviour management skills, with the ability to de‑escalate challenging situations
