Nova Biomedical is a global leader in osmolality testing and biotechnology, dedicated to advancing patient care and scientific discovery. The Critical Care Specialist ā Blood Gas is responsible for driving sales growth of Nova Biomedical Critical Care analyzers across assigned hospital and health system accounts. This role is accountable for revenue growth, penetration of key accounts, and expansion of Nova's blood gas footprint through deep clinical expertise and strategic selling.
The Specialist works collaboratively with Account Managers, Inside Sales, Field Applications, and Medical & Scientific Affairs to identify, develop, and close opportunities while supporting existing Nova customers through strong professional relationships and clinical value delivery.
What youāll do:
- Drive sales growth for Nova Biomedical Critical Care analyzers within assigned hospital and health system accounts.
- Achieve revenue and growth targets through effective account penetration, opportunity development, and execution of complex sales cycles.
- Identify, develop, and close opportunities by partnering with Account Managers, Inside Sales, Field Applications, and Medical & Scientific Affairs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical and administrative stakeholders across ICU, Emergency Department, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory, Operating Room, and supply chain.
- Influence clinical and economic decision making through product demonstrations, evaluations, workflow discussions, and committee presentations.
- Support enterprise and multi-site standardization initiatives, including engagement with Integrated Health Networks (IHNs) and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs).
- Manage pricing discussions, negotiations, and contracting in alignment with company policies and approval processes.
- Maintain accurate opportunity pipeline, forecasting, and activity documentation in Salesforce.com.
- Participate in regional business reviews, territory planning, and approved trade shows as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for in you:
- Bachelor's degree required; Clinical, scientific, or healthcareārelated degree preferred.
- Strong clinical and technical knowledge of blood gas and critical care diagnostics.
- Proven ability to execute complex, multiāstakeholder sales cycles.
- Ability to communicate clinical, technical, and economic value clearly and persuasively.
- Excellent presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success working within matrixed sales organizations.
- Strong collaboration skills across Sales, Applications, Inside Sales, and MASA.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in blood gas, critical care diagnostics, or related medical device/diagnostics capital sales.
- Experience selling into ICU, Emergency Department, Respiratory Therapy, and Laboratory environments preferred.
- Respiratory Therapists or other clinical professionals with relevant critical care experience and a strong aptitude for sales will be considered.
- Experience with enterprise or health system selling strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements for this role include:
- Ability to travel within assigned territory, including overnight travel.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and conduct customerāfacing presentations.
- Ability to lift and transport materials or equipment up to 66 pounds.

Targeted Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000/year
