About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Account Manager to join our growing Facilities Management team based in Ipswich. This role is responsible for managing key client relationships, ensuring service delivery standards are consistently achieved, and identifying opportunities for account growth and operational improvement.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for clients across a portfolio of facilities management contracts, coordinating internal teams and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service management. This is primarily an office-based role with regular visits to client sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with key facilities management clients
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, issues, and escalations
- Ensure contractual KPIs and SLAs are achieved across all assigned accounts
- Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to review service performance
- Coordinate with operational teams to ensure efficient delivery of services
- Produce account reports, performance reviews, and action plans
- Identify opportunities for additional services and contract growth
- Monitor contract profitability and support budget management
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and company procedures
- Support mobilisation of new contracts where required
Requirements
- Previous experience in Account Management, Client Relationship Management, or Facilities Management
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Commercial awareness with a customer-focused approach
- Experience coordinating service delivery teams or subcontractors
- Competent with Microsoft Office and reporting systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience within the Facilities Management, Property Services, or Building Maintenance sectors
- Knowledge of hard and/or soft FM services
- Understanding of contract management and service level agreements
