About the Role
As a General Assistant within the Machine Shop, you will support the efficient management of the workspace and the broader facility through a proactive, service-oriented approach. Your role will include a variety of tasks across departments, including cleaning, lifting, moving components, and offering general support to site operations. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as you may assist different areas within the Tuboscope site such as the Yard, Inspection, and TK Liner departments.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate designated machines safely and competently, ensuring that all HSE and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Carry out designated tasks as instructed.
- Minimize waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
- Assist in keeping the facility in a clean and safe state at all times.
- Assist machine operators as and when required.
- Assist Fitting department when required.
- Assist Maintenance department when required.
- Make sure workflow is maximized by moving components to the correct stations.
- Assist management team when required by having the flexibility to assist other facilities within the Tuboscope site such as the Yard, Inspection and TK Liner to carry out general work activities e.g. pipe cleaning, tidying work areas.
- Demonstrate awareness of company objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Promote and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures without exception.
- Ensure all company policies surrounding, health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met.
- Adheres to inspection criteria, policies, and procedures without exception.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- High School education or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Willingness to participate in further training as required.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with general machine shop and maintenance support activities.
- Basic understanding of HSE standards and practices.
