As a Fitter/Deburrer at Flexibles Glenrothes, you will be responsible for preparing precision machined components to world-class standards, ready for customer delivery. Your role will involve de-burring, polishing, dressing, cleaning, assembling, and packaging components for subsea and bespoke applications. With a customer service mindset, you will support efficient workspace management and component completion through technical services. You will manage your own productivity output, operating designated tools safely while adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. This role requires interpreting engineering drawings, maintaining quality, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • De-burr, polish, clean, and securely pack finished components
  • Load and unload transport vehicles using a forklift as required
  • Operate tools safely while maintaining HSE and housekeeping standards
  • Interpret engineering drawings from various sources
  • Plan workload according to the production schedule and escalate issues
  • Record accurate time entries and daily HAVS logs
  • Report and assist in resolving quality issues
  • Support continuous improvement and KPI maintenance
  • Perform tasks to meet target achievements set by the chargehand
  • Assist in streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Participate in toolbox talks and support team during absences
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and 5S principles
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately
  • Travel as required and perform other duties as directed

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in manufacturing or assembly environments
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Competence in using hand tools and machinery for component finishing
  • Forklift operation skills (certification)
  • Strong understanding of safety and quality standards
