As a Buyer at NOV, you will play a vital role within our dynamic Pumps Procurement team. This position is essential in ensuring the efficiency of our supply chain, contributing directly to our world-class operations in energy and industrial solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, from issuing RFQs to managing vendor performance and supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate subcontractors based on capability, quality, and cost
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain supplier relationships
- Place purchase orders in compliance with company policies and ethical standards
- Track and expedite orders to meet project and operational timelines
- Support supplier qualification processes, audits, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and secure timely procurement
- Develop supplier KPIs and monitor cost-saving initiatives
- Lead or assist in contract negotiations with procurement leadership
- Leverage data to drive informed procurement decisions and improve outcomes
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree plus procurement experience OR relevant experience without a degree
- APICS/MCIPS or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in purchasing raw materials or machined parts is advantageous
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Proficient in data analysis and Excel
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and cross-functional tasks
- High integrity with sound judgment and strategic mindset
