We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Manchester. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble pump and mixer equipment in line with engineering drawings and company procedures
- Conduct production tests and complete detailed test reports
- Inspect and ensure all parts and assemblies are fit for purpose
- Operate manual and power tools safely and efficiently
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain an efficient build process
- Accurately record work and support departmental coverage as needed
- Travel occasionally for work-related tasks
- Follow all NOV Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3)
- Proven experience with PC pumps and wastewater product assemblies
- Working knowledge of mechanical seals
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Proficient with hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques
- Basic computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Trained in manual handling, slinging, and lifting
- Strong awareness of HSE protocols and standards
