About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedPrincipal 3D Conceptual Design Engineerto join our NOV Process Systems global engineering disciplines team. This permanent position is ideal for an experienced professional who specializes in creating innovative 3D model concept studies for process modules and plants.
The perfect candidate has a multi-disciplinary approach to concept design that includes piping, mechanical, structure, electrical, instrumentation and fabrication/constructability assessments.
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design and optimization of complex process systems.

NOV Process Systems is a business unit within NOV Marine and Construction that specializes in designing and delivering advanced process technologies for the energy sector. The business focuses on equipment and systems used in separation, treatment, and handling of oil, gas, water, and solids. With a strong emphasis on efficiency, reliability, and environmental compliance, NOV Process Systems supports both offshore and onshore operations worldwide. The team works closely with customers to develop tailored solutions that optimize performance across a range of processing challenges in the energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D conceptual models for process modules and plants, ensuring design excellence and innovation.
- Utilize advanced 3D design tools such as: Aveva E3D and AutoCAD Plant 3D to create detailed and accurate models.
- Work autonomously with a strong focus on results, optimizing designs to meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process technologies such as MEG Reclamation, TEG regeneration, sulphate removal units, produced water treatment, CO2 separation and capture, amine sweetening, separation and sand handling.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing 3D conceptual studies for process plants and modules within the oil and gas sector.
- Deep knowledge of process plant operations and technologies. BSc university degree is an advantage.
- Proficiency in 3D design tools such as Aveva PDMS/E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Smartplant 3D.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of focus on results and design optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.
