Located in our Machine Shop at NOV Process and Flow Control, Montrose (NOV) and reporting to the Production Manager, you will assist all workshop personnel within the Machine Shop to include labouring activities and dispatch of finished components. Additional duties will include operating our Torque and swaging machines and carrying out critical Phosphate surface coating operations. Training will be provided.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out Torque operations as required.
- Carry out phosphate coating as required.
- Ensure that all defects to materials, components or equipment are reported to the Operations Manager as required by Company procedures.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager on any customer, project or other issues arising.
- Be involved in Environmental, Health & Safety issues.
- Report any Environmental, Health & Safety issues that arise.
- Aid machinists in their duties as and when required.
- Deliver and collect materials/components from customers' facilities.
- Keep the shop clean, tidy and free from hazards.
- Report any defects to Company equipment and vehicles.
- Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy.
- Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.
- Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by Line Manager.
Qualifications:
- Driving Licence (Essential)
Experience:
- Operating of Torque Machinery.
- Familiar with Phosphate coating.
Skills, Training, Special Knowledge:
- Ability to use lifting equipment effectively.
- Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety practices.
