We’re looking for a Front End Developer to join a delivery-focused team building and evolving a suite of platforms used by global brands. This role sits within a sprint-based environment, working closely with Product, QA, Design and Engineering to deliver high-quality, user-facing applications. It’s a hands-on role with a good level of autonomy - taking requirements, turning them into working interfaces, and owning the quality of what you build.
The Role
- Building and maintaining user-facing features using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Translating product requirements and designs into functional, responsive interfaces
- Collaborating with backend developers to integrate APIs and services effectively
- Writing clean, maintainable and well-structured front-end code
- Testing and debugging applications across browsers and devices, identifying and resolving UI issues
- Ensuring interfaces are consistent, accessible and user-friendly
- Contributing to improving front-end standards, patterns and reusable components over time
They have a dedicated designer on the team, so your role is to take designs and implement them well.
The Environment
You’ll be working within a custom, in-house framework, so a strong grounding in front-end fundamentals is key. This isn’t a heavily framework-led setup - it’s more about understanding how things work under the hood and building clean, efficient interfaces that do exactly what they need to.
What they’re looking for
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience building and maintaining web applications in live environments
- Comfortable working in custom or non-framework environments
- Experience working in Agile / sprint-based teams
- Good understanding of API integration and front-end architecture
- Ability to take requirements and implement solutions with a good level of independence
- Attention to detail in both functionality and UI delivery
Why this role
You’ll be working on platforms that are genuinely different from standard web builds. There’s real ownership and you’re trusted to deliver. The team values clarity, collaboration and building things properly. If you’re someone who enjoys building solid front-end applications, working close to the fundamentals, and being trusted to get on with it this could be a great opportunity for you! We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. If you don't meet every requirement but feel you could add value, please do apply.
