We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our team as a Night Manager. Whether you’re currently in a leadership role or looking to take your first step into site-wide and clinical management, this role offers an excellent opportunity to provide proactive and visible leadership during the night shift.
As the Night Service Manager, you will hold primary responsibility for overseeing the site during the night, ensuring the same high standards of care that we provide during the day. You will collaborate closely with the nurses in charge and ward teams across all wards, supported by on-call senior managers and doctors, to maintain and enhance the quality of care throughout the night.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Responding swiftly and effectively to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
Providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
Conducting randomized spot checks to ensure compliance and high standards.
Ensuring thorough handovers and accurate, timely documentation.
Involvement in audits and personnel management.
Essential Criteria:
Proven leadership and managerial abilities.
Nursing qualification with current NMC registration as RMN or RNLD.
Strong clinical background with demonstrable skills.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mental health setting.
Experience in Older People’s Mental Health (OPMH) care or Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is highly desirable.
Outstanding communication skills, with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.
Ability to work autonomously and make confident, informed decisions.
