What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the site during the night, ensuring the same high standards of care that we provide during the day.
  • Collaborate closely with the nurses in charge and ward teams across all wards, supported by on-call senior managers and doctors, to maintain and enhance the quality of care throughout the night.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding swiftly and effectively to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
  • Conducting randomized spot checks to ensure compliance and high standards.
  • Ensuring thorough handovers and accurate, timely documentation.
  • Involvement in audits and personnel management.

About You, Essential Criteria:

  • Proven leadership and managerial abilities.
  • Sound IT skills.
  • Nursing qualification with current NMC registration as RMN or RNLD.
  • Strong clinical background with demonstrable skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mental health setting.
  • Experience in Older People’s Mental Health (OPMH) care or Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make confident, informed decisions.
