As a Senior Health Care Assistant/Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role within the care team, supporting senior staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You will carry out assigned duties on a day-to-day basis, providing compassionate support to residents with all aspects of daily living while actively promoting independence and life skills.
You will be responsible for maintaining the safety, wellbeing, dignity, and respect of all residents at all times. This role also involves leading by example, supporting, training, and supervising care staff to ensure consistently outstanding standards of care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality emotional and practical support to residents
- Act as a role model and mentor to Support Workers
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and daily documentation
- Administer medication in line with policies and training (where trained)
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice at all times
- Support residents with daily living activities and community engagement
- Respond effectively to challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support
- Liaise with families, professionals, and external services
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are upheld

- RQF/QCF/NVQ/ Level 3 in care or equivalent experience or willing to work towards one
