About The Role
Are you ready for your next step? If you are an experienced mental health support worker who’s ready to take on more, this is the opportunity to make that move and to do it somewhere you can genuinely make your mark. Coniston House is Nouvita’s brand-new mental health service in Camberley, providing specialist residential support to men in a safe, therapeutic environment. As one of our founding senior staff, you’ll help set the standard of care and shape the culture of the service from day one. You don’t need to have held a senior role before. We are looking for solid experience and the ambition to develop.
What you will be doing:
- Acting as an experienced, senior presence on shift and a role model for high-quality, person-centred, recovery-focused support
- Providing hands‑on care and support to the men we support, alongside your colleagues
- Contributing to and reviewing individual support plans alongside the multidisciplinary team
- Supporting and mentoring support workers, including helping new starters settle in
- Supporting accurate record keeping, medication support and effective shift handovers
- Working closely with the Deputy Manager and Home Manager to establish and develop the new service
What we are looking for:
- At least three years’ experience as a support worker, with significant experience in a mental health setting (essential)
- The desire to develop into a team leading role
- A caring, calm and professional approach that sets the tone for others
- Ideally a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care – or the commitment to achieve one with our full support
- Good IT literacy – confident using electronic care records and everyday digital systems
- Strong communication skills, reliability and resilience
