Are you a highly skilled and experienced nurse ready to take the next step in your career? Join our team as a Night Services Manager. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver proactive, visible leadership and make a real impact during the night shift.
As the Night Service Manager, you will hold primary responsibility for overseeing the site during the night, ensuring the same high standards of care that we provide during the day. You will collaborate closely with the nurses in charge and ward teams across all wards, supported by on-call senior managers and doctors, to maintain and enhance the quality of care throughout the night.
What You’ll Do:
- Responding swiftly and effectively to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
- Providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
- Conducting randomized spot checks to ensure compliance and high standards.
- Ensuring thorough handovers and accurate, timely documentation.
- Involvement in audits and personnel management.
About You, Essential Criteria:
- Proven leadership and managerial abilities.
- Sound IT skills.
- Nursing qualification with current NMC registration as RMN or RNLD.
- Strong clinical background with demonstrable skills.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mental health setting.
- Experience in Older People’s Mental Health (OPMH) care or Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is highly desirable.
- Outstanding communication skills, with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.
- Ability to work autonomously and make confident, informed decisions.
