We are expanding our high-quality supported living services across Leicestershire, helping people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives with dignity, independence and choice. New facilities are opening in early 2026, offering exciting opportunities to join our growing team.
As a Care Assistant, you’ll support adults with learning disabilities in shared homes, helping them with personal care, daily living tasks, managing finances, and promoting independence. You’ll also accompany service users to appointments, social activities and the wider community, and provide one-to-one support where needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Personal care and daily living support
- Support with managing money, budgeting and shopping
- Promoting independence and building life skills
- Driving service users to appointments and activities
- Meal preparation and household tasks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Delivering one-to-one support where required
- Maintaining accurate records and following care plans
- Upholding safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies
- Previous care or supported living experience advantageous but not essential
- NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards) beneficial
- Full UK driving licence required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and committed to person-centred care
- Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins
- Local candidates only – no visa sponsorship available
- 39 hours per week at £12.96 per hour
