The Travel Advisor will support Think Travel advisors with booking travel, managing reservations, and ensuring financial accuracy across bookings and invoices. This role requires strong Sabre proficiency and a detail-oriented approach, with tasks including invoicing, reconciliation, and commission tracking. Must be able to book both domestic and international travel, including hotels, car hire, and ground transportation. Proficient in ticketing and exchanges. Excellent customer service, sales skills, and problem-solving abilities required. Also assists with overall day-to-day operational support.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Support Think Travel advisors with booking and managing domestic and international travel
- Advise on transportation, accommodations, and destination options
- Prepare cost estimates for travel and related services
- Book flights, hotels, car hire, and ground transportation in Sabre
- Handle ticketing, reissues, and exchanges
- Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring accuracy
- Reconcile bookings against supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Track commissions and payments
- Assist with air and hotel contracting and rate review
Required Skills/Abilities
- 3–5 years Sabre experience required
- Excellent customer service and sales experience
- Strong attention to detail, especially with financial data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple bookings
- Ability to work with urgency and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong problem-solving and research skills
- Understanding of air and hotel contracting and vendor relations
Education and Experience
- Previous experience booking domestic and international travel required
- 3–5 years Sabre experience required
- Experience with invoicing, reconciliation, or commission tracking preferred
- Travel industry experience required
- Experience reviewing contracts and rates in GDS preferred
