The role involves leading significant cross-team initiatives that enhance member experiences. As a Staff Product Engineer, you will focus on coding, system design, and product thinking, influencing company direction. This is a hands-on individual contributor role, with potential for future people management opportunities.

We maintain a modern tech stack: Full-stack TypeScript, React, Postgres, and Temporal for orchestration, alongside AWS, Terraform, Sentry, and Datadog for observability. Our data tools include Snowflake, Omni, dbt, Fivetran, Amplitude, and Segment, with custom tooling to assess member assistance. We also work with AI to manage complex billing and usage data.

What you’ll do:

  • Own 2–3 high-leverage bets per year, transforming ambiguous problems into clear plans.
  • Ship small, end-to-end slices every 1–2 weeks, ensuring real members benefit from your work.
  • Act as a domain owner in critical areas, setting and evolving patterns for others to follow.
  • Mentor emerging tech leads and seniors, providing reviews that enhance their skills.
  • Create clear documentation for major initiatives, ensuring accessibility across teams.
