About Nous

Nous is an AI-powered assistant that helps households manage their bills, saving them money and time. Our mission is to make people’s lives simpler and fairer, starting with the 30 million households here in the UK, and eventually, far beyond. Over 85% of households overpay on their bills. That’s the scale of the problem we’re here to solve and it’s hiding in plain sight. It’s also fiendishly complex. What we’re building looks elegantly simple to the user, but under the bonnet it’s one of the most ambitious consumer AI systems in the UK. We’re not iterating on someone else’s playbook; we’re writing a new one. If you want to work on something obvious or easy, this isn’t it. We’re backed by top-tier investors, led by a seasoned founding team and growing seriously quickly — more than 3,000% year-on-year. That makes Nous one of the UK’s fastest-scaling consumer start-ups. Since launch, we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of households get to grips with their bills - and we’re just getting going. We’re immensely proud of what we’ve built so far. Our Net Promoter Score is consistently above +80, and our members give us rave reviews. Now we’re scaling that experience to millions more people, making Nous feel less like another finance app and more like something that quietly sorts your life out in the background.

The product might look like magic but making it work is anything but. Nous is intentionally lean, by design. We’re an AI-native company, not just an AI-native product. Everyone here is expected to use AI to its full potential, whether that’s debugging a system, streamlining a workflow or improving how we serve customers. We don’t hire layers of middle management; we hire smart, high-agency people and give them real ownership. It’s not easy. We move fast, think deeply, and hold ourselves to high standards. We’re proudly office-first (based near Farringdon station) because we believe high-context collaboration helps us build better. The kitchen’s well-stocked, the coffee’s excellent, and so is the team. If you're brilliant, ambitious and want to build something amazing that changes the world by improving people's lives, get in touch.

About the role

We’re looking for a highly analytical, commercially-minded Performance Marketing Manager to own and scale some of our most important acquisition channels. Performance marketing is a core growth engine at Nous. You’ll be responsible for managing and optimising our existing paid channels — primarily Meta and Google Ads — while aggressively testing and scaling new channels such as TikTok, affiliates, and other performance-led opportunities over time. This is a role for someone who is excited by ambitious growth targets, enjoys getting deep into the numbers, and takes pride in running efficient, well-structured programmes. This is a hands-on role. You’ll be in the platforms every day: building and optimising campaigns, managing budgets, developing testing roadmaps, and continuously improving performance against CPA and volume targets. You’ll work closely with creative and content teammates to shape what we put into market, and you’ll be expected to have strong views on what’s working, why it’s working, and what we should do next. Measurement and experimentation are central to the role. You’ll design and run structured tests across audiences, creative, bidding, and landing experiences, and you’ll be comfortable digging into data to diagnose issues and unlock new growth. You’ll also help improve how we think about funnel performance more broadly — spotting drop-offs, identifying opportunities, and feeding insights back into product, creative, and messaging. You’ll work closely with colleagues in the Growth team, as well as the content, design, and wider commercial teams, to make sure performance marketing is driving efficient, scalable growth for Nous. We’ve got strong early traction — but there’s still a huge amount to build, and you’ll play a central role in shaping how this channel evolves.

About you

We’re looking for someone with a sharp analytical brain, a commercial mindset, and the drive to scale performance channels responsibly and efficiently. This goes far beyond “just running ads”, making it ideal for someone who’s deeply grounded in performance marketing and ready to take the lead and prove what they can do. You’ll likely thrive in this role if:

  • You’ve managed paid performance channels hands‑on, ideally Meta and Google Ads, and you’re comfortable being accountable for spend, CPA, and volume targets.
  • You’re deeply analytical and structured. You don’t guess — you test, measure, and optimise.
  • You’re comfortable working in a KPI‑driven environment and can clearly explain what the data is telling you.
  • You’re commercial. You care about efficiency, payback, and unit economics, and you understand how performance marketing fits into a broader growth model.
  • You’re excited by scaling. You enjoy pushing channels to their limits, but you also know when to be disciplined.
  • You’re keen to explore new channels like TikTok or affiliates, and you approach them with a clear testing and learning mindset.
  • You’re efficient and organised. You can manage multiple channels, experiments, and priorities without things slipping — even when the pace is fast and things are changing.
  • You work well cross‑functionally. You can collaborate with creative, content, and product teams to improve performance, and you’re comfortable giving clear, data‑backed feedback.
  • You’re at the right stage in your career. You’ve likely owned performance channels before and are ready to step into a role with more responsibility and impact.

We’re building our performance marketing engine for the long term, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with it. If you’re the kind of person who gets real satisfaction from turning spend into insight, insight into scale, and scale into sustainable growth — and you care about building something that genuinely helps households make smarter financial decisions — we’d love to hear from you.

Remuneration and benefits

Compelling packages, including share options with life‑changing upside. We’ve raised enough money to pay real salaries. We're building something great together and we all share in the upside. If we win, we win together. An environment where you can do your best work:

  • A great office set up for lots of collaborative working.
  • The equipment / setup / training you need to do your best work.
  • A high‑context environment with lots of exposure to the big decisions - be in the room when it happens (literally).
  • Flexibility around remote work. If you sometimes just need to get your head down, that's fine.
  • Very good coffee.
  • A well‑stocked kitchen (featuring a wildly popular toastie maker) so you can always make yourself a breakfast or light lunch on the house.
  • Informal social every week, something bigger every month, plus a set‑piece event in the summer and again at Christmas - we're not robots!
  • 33 days paid holidays (including bank holidays).
  • Health and dental cash plans, including an employee assistance programme.
  • Travel benefits, including the cycle‑to‑work scheme and season ticket loans.

Nous has an office‑first culture. That means we encourage in‑person working, and most people do work from the office in Farringdon most of the time. We do a lot of brainstorming, problem‑solving and interaction within the team and presence makes this more effective. It also helps ensure people have good peripheral awareness and high context. But we are pragmatic not doctrinal about this, and recognise that, sometimes, certain types of work can be better done remotely.
