Digital Accountant

Digital Accountant

Full-Time On-site
N

We’re hiring for a digital accountant to join our team at Nourished. We are a fast-growing,

female-led accountancy practice that supports small business owners and online creatives.

We believe finance should feel approachable, human, and genuinely helpful, not

intimidating or full of jargon.

Over the last year, our community and client base has grown

quickly, and we’re now looking for a new accountant to join our small but growing team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified accountant who’s excited to help shape how we

do things, who enjoys working closely with clients, takes pride in doing things properly, and

wants to be part of a modern accountancy practice that’s doing things a little differently.

About the Role

This is a broad and flexible role. You’ll be working closely with our founder and our team to

support our clients across a range of compliance work.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts (sole traders and limited companies)
  • Completing personal and corporation tax returns
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Business support services including bookkeeping, payroll and management accounts
  • Liaising directly with clients to answer queries and keep their finances on track
  • Helping maintain and improve our internal systems and processes
  • You’ll have the chance to really get involved, contribute ideas, and grow with the business.

This role is hybrid, with one day per week in person to ensure team collaboration. The

location for this day will be in London (Zone 1).

Our in person working hours are typically 8:30am to 5pm but outside of those days, you’ll

be free to work remotely with more flexibility.

Flexibility That Works for You

We know everyone works best differently, so we’re open to shaping the role around the

right person.

Whether you’re looking for:

  • A couple of days a week
  • Reduced hours (e.g. five-hour days)
  • Term-time only working
  • Or a full-time role

We’re open to shaping this around the right person. If you’re returning to work, juggling

other commitments, or just someone who wants to work around their life (and not the

other way around), we’d love to hear from you.

What matters most to us is finding someone who does great work and enjoys being part of

the team.

Who We’re Looking For

In order to be considered for this role you MUST have:

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • Be a qualified accountant – Minimum Level 4 AAT qualified or equivalent
  • You have at least two years’ practical experience working in a UK accountancy practice, working across a variety of client types
  • Confident drafting sole trader and micro company accounts

We think this role would be a good fit if:

  • You’re comfortable working independently and proactively, and you’re not afraid to ask questions or suggest better ways of doing things
  • You’re organised and comfortable managing your own workload
  • You care about delivering great service, and enjoy speaking with clients and explaining things in a clear, friendly way
  • You’re open to hybrid working and have a suitable environment to work at home
  • You’re excited about working in a modern, growing firm and contributing ideas as we scale

Extra points if:

  • You have experience using Xero, Apron and Engager
  • You aren’t camera shy, videos are a key part of how we communicate with clients

Working With Us

  • This is a hybrid role, with flexibility built into our culture
  • You’ll be joining a values-led business with a focus on honesty, clarity, and genuinely supporting our clients
  • We measure performance based on result and clear KPIs not hours worked.
  • Competitive salary, depending on experience and qualifications
  • A supportive, collaborative working culture

Salary range:

£28,000-£38,000 (depending on qualifications and experience, your salary scales as you continue through your exams)

What You’ll Get

We might be a small firm, but we’re big on making work, work for you. As a member of our

small team you won’t just be joining a business, you’ll be helping shape it.

Our benefits package includes:

  • Flexible hours – whether that’s school-friendly hours, a shorter workweek or full-time, we’ll work with you to find a setup that suits you best
  • CPD & Training budget – we’ll support your ongoing learning and growth with generous support for ongoing training
  • Birthday leave – never work your birthday again with an extra day of annual leave to celebrate you!

We genuinely care about creating a healthy, balanced workplace and you’ll have a voice in

shaping the benefits as we grow.
