About the Role
Nourish & Sip is an early-stage snack brand inspired by traditional flavours from around the world. We currently have two products in development:
- Tropical Mango, Pineapple & Lemongrass Clusters
- Cardamom & Coconut Bites
Recipes have already been developed and tested, and we are looking for an experienced freelance Food Product Developer to help refine and commercialise the products.
Success in this role would be helping take the products from kitchen-tested recipes to commercially viable products suitable for retail, hospitality and corporate catering environments.
This is a flexible freelance/project-based role with the potential for ongoing collaboration as the brand grows.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess existing recipes and test batches.
- Optimise texture, consistency and overall eating experience.
- Advise on shelf-life improvements and natural preservation methods.
- Support ingredient and recipe scaling for larger production runs.
- Recommend suitable manufacturing and production processes.
- Assist with preparing products for commercial launch and customer trials.
Qualifications Essential
- Experience developing food products for commercial sale.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing and product scale-up.
- Understanding of shelf life, food safety and product stability.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working with snack products, bars, bites, granola or similar products.
Desirable
- Degree or qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field.
- Experience supporting food startups or emerging brands.
- Knowledge of natural preservation methods and clean-label products.
- Experience with retail, hospitality or foodservice products.
This is a freelance/project-based position.
UK-based candidates are preferred but not essential.
