This is a term time only position for a busy secondary school. The on-site Executive Chef Manager role is located in Westcliff-On-Sea. The Executive Chef Manager will oversee daily kitchen operations, create and prepare high-quality meals, manage food production, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include all the book work, managing inventory, training kitchen staff, and working closely with the broader team to maintain excellent service delivery within the contract catering environment. The role requires a commitment to maintaining exceptional food standards and providing an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Food Preparation, Cooking, and Culinary techniques.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage operations and managing Food Quality standards.
  • Strong leadership skills in Culinary Management, including team supervision and kitchen coordination.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for creating high-quality meals and maintaining an innovative approach to menu planning.
  • Previous experience in contract catering or the education sector is a plus.
