Are you passionate about developing gymnasts and growing your coaching career in a high-quality environment? Notts Gymnastics Academy (NGA) is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Level 2+ Gymnastics Coach (BG Qualified) to join our established GymSchool Programme. This role offers 20+ hours per week, providing a varied coaching schedule. You will deliver engaging evening sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, alongside daytime coaching on Saturdays. There is also the opportunity to expand your hours further, with additional sessions available on Sundays from August and through covering shifts as and when they become available.
Main Purpose of the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Level 2+ Gymnastics Coach with a passion for both gymnast progression and personal development. At Notts Gymnastics Academy, you will deliver coaching within our GymSchool programme, supporting gymnasts from Foundation Year through to Year 7+. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of coaches, including our key coaching leadership, within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. NGA is committed to investing in its coaching team, offering ongoing professional development and opportunities to gain further British Gymnastics qualifications. This role provides a clear pathway to build a sustainable and rewarding career within a progressive and highly respected academy.
Within the GymSchool coaching team, you will deliver high-quality, engaging, and purposeful sessions that reflect NGA’s core values: Be Our Best, Do the Right Thing, and Happy Souls. You will play an active role in gymnast development and working collaboratively to foster a positive and high-performing team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality structured, inclusive and engaging coaching sessions
- Support the holistic development of gymnasts, promoting positive attitudes and sportsmanship
- Learn from a team of high-quality coaches through mentoring and shared coaching delivery
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare
- Communicate effectively with parents, gymnasts, and colleagues
- Support Academy events such as festivals, holiday camps, displays, and workshops
- Attend staff meetings and training where necessary
- Contribute positively to a professional, collaborative coaching culture
Requirements
- British Gymnastics Level 2+ qualification & British Gymnastics membership (ability to obtain)
- Safeguarding & Protecting Children certification & Valid DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- A passion for coaching and developing gymnasts and people with strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills
- A desire to progress professionally and develop as a coach
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
- A commitment to creating a safe, fun and inclusive environment for all
