About the role

The Children and Families Department takes a strengths-based approach to working with children, young people and families, following our Nottinghamshire Approach. We are seeking both experienced and new Youth Support Workers to support the delivery of sessions for young people aged 10 to 19 on evenings at Bilsthorpe Youth Centre (NG228PY). This is a term time only position. The role involves working directly with young people.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with young people aged 10 to 19.
  • Work as a team member to deliver and manage positive activities during sessions.
  • Complete required training including induction and Level 2 Youth Work qualification (including Saturday training sessions and online/in‑person training).
  • Be responsive to change during the session and work as a team to resolve any issues.
  • Act as a positive role model to young people.

Requirements

We are seeking individuals who can build positive relationships, work well in a team, complete training, be responsive and act as a positive role model. Experience is not mandatory; learning on the job is available.
