Make a Real Impact in Public Service
Are you an experienced solicitor or barrister with a background in commercial property law? Looking for a new challenge? Join our Corporate & Environmental Law team. And play a pivotal role in delivering high-value, high impact legal work for the Council.
This is a part time permanent position which will be hybrid working with some office attendance, as the job requires.
About The Role
As a key member of our legal team, you’ll provide expert advice on a wide range of commercial property matters. You’ll support the Council’s ambitious target of securing £118.3 million in capital receipts over the next four years, working closely with service departments and senior officers on complex and rewarding projects.
This is a part-time, permanent position offering hybrid working arrangements, with flexibility to attend the office as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Advising on commercial property transactions and legal strategies.
  • Supporting major project land developments and property disposals with some acquisitions.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
  • Contributing to the Council’s strategic goals through sound legal guidance.
