The Children and Families Department takes a strengths-based approach to working with each other, children, young people and families, and our partner agencies. We call this \’Our Nottinghamshire Approach\’. Watch the two minute animation to learn more.
Nottinghamshire County Council\’s Neurodevelopmental Support Team is seeking to recruit a Parent and Family Worker to undertake detailed reviews and evaluations of a child\’s need for a referral to a community paediatrician where they are displaying behaviours indicative of Autism and/or ADHD.
You will have:
- Experience of working with children and families
- An understanding of child development
- Knowledge of neurodiversity, particularly Autism and ADHD
- Experience of completing assessments and undertaking observations
- An ability to manage their own time and workload and complete assessments to timescales
This is an extremely busy service with high levels of referrals for assessment and support.
The service is funded by the Integrated Commissioning board and the posts are temporary until May 2028.
