Overview
The Maximising Independence Service (MIS) in Adult Social Care focuses on early resolution, prevention and promoting independence and wellbeing for all people. We are looking for creative and forward-thinking Occupational Therapists to join us in the Maximising Independence Team-South, which covers Broxtowe, Gedling, and Rushcliffe.
Marketed as a non-traditional, broad-spectrum role with opportunities to work creatively with people, the team provides timely advice and uses in-service assets to achieve the best outcomes. Our practice is strengths-based and uses a conversational style to help people define what a good life looks like for them.

Responsibilities
- Work with people of all ages and across all service areas in a fast-paced, supportive team.
- Provide regular supervision (formal and informal) from an Occupational Therapy Senior Practitioner.
- Engage in training to progress your career and meet HCPC CPD requirements.
- Contribute to knowledge expansion, project work and service exploration based on strengths and career aspirations.
- Utilise excellent communication and IT skills; motivate others and support through change.
Qualifications & requirements
- Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration.
- Band B requirement: at least 2 yearsβ experience as a qualified OT.
- Driving licence and use of a vehicle for work (taxi service provided where disability precludes own vehicle).
