The Facilities Management Service is seeking a skilled and professional individual to support the management of the Mansfield area in Nottinghamshire. Principal tasks and accountabilities will include assisting the Account Manager in managing the performance of approximately 150 frontline employees and ensuring that over 50 individual sites/customers receive an effective Building Cleaning and Caretaking service. The post oversees a large and diverse customer base which includes Schools/Academies, Fire Stations, Depots, Libraries, and other Nottinghamshire County Council associated sites and offices.
Specific priority duties will therefore be:
- The development, performance management, conduct, and first level absence management of designated frontline posts across the Newark area.
- Assisting the Account Manager to recruit and maintain staffing levels through the mobilisation of mobile and cover staff operating within the Mansfield area.
- Undertaking regular site inspections to ensure standards are maintained and required contract standards adhered to.
- Working alongside the Account Manager to ensure all contracts across the Mansfield area remain financially viable throughout contract periods.
- Meeting and advising customers at a variety of sites across the area to ensure effective quality service delivery methods and contract management (service level agreements, contracts, and specifications).
- Covering for absent Building Cleaning and Caretaking posts when the service requires.
Skills, Experience, And Knowledge Required For This Post Include:
- Experience in supervising within a facilities service contract management environment, ideally within Building Cleaning/Caretaking.
- High levels of flexibility (unsociable hours working to suit service needs), customer care, and client management skills in a sales and trading service environment.
- Experience of supervising both physical and human resources to ensure contract requirements are achieved and meet financial targets.
- Experience of undertaking Building Cleaning/Caretaking roles.
