Overview

Working closely with colleague, landowners, farmers, volunteers and partner organisations, you will lead the day‑to‑day delivery of practical conservation activities that create, restore and enhance habitats for water voles across Nottinghamshire.

You will also contribute to a coordinated mink control programme, helping to reduce one of the greatest threats to water vole populations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day delivery of practical conservation activities across Nottinghamshire.
  • Create, restore and enhance wetland habitats for water voles.
  • Coordinate and manage contractors and volunteers.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including landowners, farmers and community groups.
  • Support and contribute to the coordinated mink control programme.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience planning and delivering practical conservation and countryside management activities.
  • Hands‑on ecological survey and assessment experience.
  • Experience liaising with community groups and farmers.
  • Willingness to undertake mink control.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Driving licence essential; suitable vehicle access required.
  • Required to travel across the county.
