We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic NQ to 2 years PQE solicitor to join our Employment Law team in a brand new role, to support the ongoing growth of the team and firm as a whole. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge to become a successful employment solicitor.

As a successful candidate, you’ll be working across the range of contentious and non-contentious employment work, mostly acting for employers. This can include employee relations issues, employment tribunals, TUPE transactions, contracts of employment, settlement agreements, dismissals and discrimination issues, and high court litigation (restrictive covenants).

The team is headed up by Nic Elliott and includes fellow director James Symons, Associate Laura Robinson, Solicitor Darcey White, and Paralegal Rachael Moxey. As head of the team, Nic is also the firm’s HR Director, is one of HR Magazines’ Most Influential Practitioners 2025, a Legal Linked Influencer and ELEVATE employment law expert in the ELEVATE hub. He also hosts the team’s podcast, the HRD talks.

In this role, you’ll handle a varied caseload, be part of a friendly, down-to-earth team and enjoy a healthy work-life balance. The team must be all highly engaged, and your input will be invaluable. All team members are expected to run their own files with appropriate support from colleagues.

  • Knowledge of the full range of employment law issues is important but in particular: TUPE
  • Provide clear concise commercial advice is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of business needs.

  • Providing clients with solutions.
  • You’ll be expected to contribute to the marketing and business development activity of the Employment Team and wider firm to win new work.

Skills, experience and competencies you will have:

  • Up to 2 years PQE

Further Information:

You’ll ideally work full-time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. Following training and a period of probation, and subject to the needs of the team, hybrid working arrangements are available.
