We are looking to start a rewarding career? If the answer is yes, come and join our small, independent firm. At a time when most firms are large, corporate environments you may thrive in our small office where everyone’s opinion is welcome and listened to. Partners and Senior Fee Earners work closely with admin staff and trainees to create an inclusive atmosphere where you will feel free to ask questions and develop, learning first-hand from senior staff who have been practicing for years.

The role is primarily within our Conveyancing department, where you will be helping clients and providing assistance to Fee Earners and clients. This is an ambitious department, and we are keen to appoint an individual who shares a passion for this area of the law as well as an enthusiasm to help grow our client base.

Daily tasks will include:

  • Opening files
  • Dealing with initial correspondence to clients and third parties
  • Assisting with the client onboarding process
  • Maintaining files
  • Assisting fee earners and solicitors with administration
  • Attending to reception
  • Answering telephone calls
  • General office duties where required

You will be expected to quickly build a strong understanding of the Conveyancing process. At the same time, we expect you to develop your client facing skills to ensure that you are well positioned to offer an excellent service to all our clients. A good background knowledge of Conveyancing is desirable, but you must also be a compassionate and caring person with the ability to show empathy towards, and communicate with, the wide variety of clients.

As a member of a small firm, you will need to have an ‘all hands‑on deck approach’ to work and be an excellent team player. Some days can be unpredictable, you must show willing to adapt to circumstances beyond your control and exhibit practical skills to solve problems as and when they arise.

For the right candidate, there will be ample opportunity for professional development and career progression. The starting salary will be £23,500.00 per annum. You will have four weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays, as well as the days between Christmas and New Year, as the office closes during this time. Further to the salary and holidays on offer, we pride ourselves on taking care of our staff and making sure that everyone feels valued, respected, and included. There will be opportunities to socialise, as we regularly look to organise staff outings, meals, and social occasions, which we feel helps to make staff feel more relaxed and confident in the office, which is the culture that we like to have. Finally, we also offer free gym membership and private health cover as additional benefits.
