We are looking for a committed Facilities Assistant to join our team at Lings Bar Hospital, a community healthcare facility. This role supports a 7-day service, including weekends and bank holidays.
Key duties include:
- Serving meals and drinks to patients on the wards
- Supporting individual dietary needs
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety
This role plays a vital part in maintaining patient well-being and supporting recovery.
Location: Lings Bar Hospital, Beckside, Gamston, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG2 6PR
Working Hours: This is a 20 hours per week post. Shifts are scheduled between 07:00 and 18:30, across a 7-day service including weekends and bank holidays. Uniform and full training will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and serving meals and beverages to patients, ensuring individual dietary needs are met
- Assisting with the setup and clearing of meal trays and trolleys, ensuring timely and efficient service
- Monitoring and recording food temperatures, reporting any issues in line with health and safety procedures
- Supporting the wider Facilities team with general duties to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
Gain experience and training in other areas of the Facilities team, including:
- Domestic Services: Supporting cleaning and hygiene standards across clinical and non-clinical areas
- Portering: Assisting with the safe and timely movement of equipment and supplies
