In this mid-level role, you will support, maintain, and develop our Pensions Administration system (Civica UPM). As a Functional Support Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Testing and Implementing Releases: Ensure smooth updates and enhancements to the Civica UPM system.
- Incident Resolution: Use ITIL-style processes to resolve incidents and defects efficiently.
- Reporting Support: Assist with statutory and ad-hoc reporting, including audits and regulatory requirements.
- Data Quality Improvement: Enhance data quality through validation and cleansing processes.
- Bulk Updates and Scheduled Jobs: Run necessary updates to maintain system performance.
- Change Management: Contribute to change management initiatives and support future rollouts, such as Portals.
- User Support: Provide guidance, assistance and dissemination of key information to users.
- Annual Processes: Deliver key annual processes like the provision of Annual Benefit Statements and Pensions Increase updates.
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- Knowledge of LGPS Regulations: A solid understanding of Local Government Pension Scheme regulations and processes.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess and improve system performance.
- Experience: Proven experience in testing, user support. Knowledge of pensions‑related web portals is desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Civica UPM or other LGPS systems and Microsoft Office products.
