This senior position will work closely with the Team Manager, Natural Environment Manager, and the Director of Greenwood Community Forest to drive initiatives that generate income and support our ambitious environmental goals.
As the Enterprising Environment Manager, you will:
- Lead and Inspire: Bring entrepreneurial expertise to the development of business improvements and commercial opportunities.
- Drive Development: Identify and implement opportunities to generate income to support Nottinghamshire County Council’s environmental ambitions.
- Build Partnerships: Develop cross‑regional partnerships to secure green finance investment into the region, County and service.
- Manage Projects: Oversee key projects from inception to completion.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A good understanding of potential commercial partners and business opportunities.
- Proven experience in project management and developing commercial strategies.
- A good understanding of and enthusiasm for the natural and historic environment, including green spaces.
- Experience in partnership development and stakeholder engagement.
