Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Join our Kirkby Family Hub team as an Early Years Practitioner and help children and families get the right support at the right time. Family Hubs are committed to delivering effective targeted and universal services for families with children aged 0-19 years. In this role, you will work with children aged 0-8 years but primarily focused on the under 5's, providing one-to-one support to parents and carers, and delivering evidence-based programmes within Family Hubs, family homes, and the community. This is a full-time, permanent position based at Kirkby Family Hub.

Role Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of child development to plan, deliver and maintain safe, stimulating play and learning opportunities for children aged 0-8 years, to ensure children are ready for learning.
  • Support children with SEND to reach their full potential.
  • Engaging with parents as first educators to strengthen the home learning environment.
  • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring systems as per service policies.
  • Working collaboratively with a range of agencies to provide comprehensive support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Early Years (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with children aged 0-8 years.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
  • Understanding of child development and the importance of early attachments.
