Responsibilities:
- Technology Enabled Care (TEC) advisors support people to live safely and independently in their own homes, helping them understand the advantages of TEC and how it can be used to assist older people, people with physical or learning disabilities, and people with mental health issues.
- You will work with a small team of TEC advisors, providing advice and assessing referrals from social care staff, partner agencies, and the public.
- After assessment, you will arrange with our service delivery partner for the installation of appropriate TEC solutions.
- You will also review existing TEC installations to ensure the equipment continues to meet people’s needs.
- Because TEC is a rapidly evolving field, you must keep up to date with new TEC solutions and be prepared to adapt to changes in the service delivery model.
This position will exist until 31 March 2027.
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of how TEC can be used to support older people, people with physical or learning disabilities, and people with mental health issues to maintain their independence.
- Ability to assess, recommend and review technology-enabled solutions for individuals who wish to maintain their independence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
- Commitment to safeguarding, child protection and the welfare of vulnerable adults.
