Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for safeguarding children and driving positive change through strategic partnerships? On behalf of the Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP), Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Service Manager for Partnerships and Planning to lead and shape multi-agency safeguarding across the county.
About the Role
As Service Manager, you will be at the heart of developing and maintaining effective partnerships, supporting statutory safeguarding functions, and delivering better outcomes for children and young people. You will lead business planning, performance management, and organisational development for the NSCP, ensuring robust arrangements for case reviews and external inspections. It\’s a particularly exciting time to step into the role, as the partnership has recently embarked on the Families First Reforms and there is scope and support to play a huge part in the future state of multi-agency safeguarding in Nottinghamshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the effective operation of the NSCP, supporting partners to fulfil statutory duties.
- Develop strategic relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Oversee business planning, performance management, and organisational development.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior officers, elected members, and partner agencies.
- Manage budgets and resources, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Promote learning and improvement across the partnership.
About You
- Minimum 5 years\’ experience in safeguarding, social care, or a related field.
- Proven leadership in multi-agency environments and partnership working.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policy, and best practice.
- Excellent people management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Professional qualification in social care or a related discipline.
- Experience in project management and strategic service development.
