Role Overview:

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Planning Officer to join our Planning Policy team and help shape the future of our County. You will work on a review of our Minerals Plan under the direction of our Principal Planner and Team Manager and get involved in other work across the whole team as we respond to major developments and local plans across Nottinghamshire. You will also support our role in securing and spending developer contributions to deliver essential transport, education and other community facilities.

You will have some experience of working in a planning environment, knowledge of the planning process, great IT and organisational skills but also a real desire to deliver sustainable development and make Nottinghamshire a better place to live, work and visit.

With a degree or equivalent and appropriate experience, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to become eligible for recognition as a Chartered Town Planner through the different pathways available and we will support you to achieve this.

We enjoy flexible working and a hybrid working pattern favouring home based working and a supportive team to work within.
