Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SEND Partnerships Manager to lead the development and implementation of strategic partnerships across the Local Area Partnership. The role involves working with Children’s Services, education providers, health services, Parent Carer Forum and other key partners to deliver a coordinated, data‑led, outcomes‑focused approach to SEND provision, with a focus on co‑production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, including the Department for Education (DfE), Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Leading transformational change initiatives within the SEND partnership to drive service improvement and better outcomes for children and young people.
- Managing a team of Advanced Practitioners to lead on quality assurance, workforce development and strengthening relationships across the Local Area Partnership.
- Maintaining a clear focus on outcomes and continuous improvement in the context of the Ofsted Framework.
Additional responsibilities:
- Co‑ordinating the delivery of the Local Area Partnership’s SEND improvement journey.
- Ensuring a whole‑system approach that prioritises the experiences of children, young people with SEND and their parents and carers.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check. This post may also be available as a secondment opportunity for existing Nottinghamshire County Council employees; prior line‑manager approval is required.
