We are seeking a Personal Advisor to support care leavers aged 16‑21 in their transition to adulthood. The role is based in Ollerton at Thoresby House and involves a part‑time schedule of 30 hours per week for up to 24 months. Salary: £30,024 – £33,699 per annum (pro rata). Type: Fixed Term. Duration: 24 months. Hours: 30 per week. Base: Thoresby House, Ollerton, NG22 9FF. Working arrangement: Hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of young people, offering tailored support and guidance.
- Advocate for young people’s needs and negotiate with other agencies to ensure they receive the necessary services.
- Assist care leavers in accessing education, training, and employment opportunities.
- Build positive, sustainable relationships with a diverse group of young people.
- Support young people in developing emotional resilience and skills needed for independence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English.
- A full driving licence (unless disability precludes this).
- Experience working with young people aged 16‑21.
- Knowledge of legislation and guidance related to young people leaving care, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
