The Children and Families Department takes a strengths‑based approach to working with each other, children, young people and families, and our partner agencies. We call this “Our Nottinghamshire Approach”.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Engagement: Foster strong relationships with specialist education and short breaks providers to support market development and collaboration.
  • Market Analysis: Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for growth within the provider market.
  • Support Development: Assist in the creation and enhancement of new and existing provisions.
  • Market Position Statements: Produce, maintain, and publish comprehensive Market Position Statements.
  • Commissioner Support: Provide market intelligence, advice, and engage with providers to support commissioners.
  • Promote Quality: Advocate for safeguarding, quality assurance, and service user participation across commissioned provisions.

Qualifications

  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant field or equivalent recent and relevant experience.
  • In‑depth knowledge of legislation relating to social care, SEND and education.
  • Experience in quality assurance or contract management methodologies.

  • Communicates effectively, engaging and motivating diverse audiences.
  • Utilises performance data and stakeholder feedback to drive service improvements.
  • Exhibits resilience, personal accountability, and a commitment to service excellence.
