Job Summary: At Clayfields House, you won’t just teach— you’ll inspire, support, and help young people rediscover their potential. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed. We are looking for a passionate and resilient General Teacher to join our centre of excellence and help young people achieve positive change through education. Clayfields House is a secure children’s home providing intensive support for young people aged 10–17 who may be vulnerable, at risk to themselves or others, or placed in secure accommodation due to offending behaviour. Education plays a vital role in their personal development, confidence, and future success — and that’s where you come in.

As a General Teacher, You Will:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of young people.
  • Take lead responsibility as a curriculum co-ordinator.
  • Support young people in their learning and personal development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to help them succeed.

Required Skills And Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour.
  • Experience supporting learners with additional or special educational needs.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • The ability to teach Maths (desirable).
