Enterprising Environment Manager

Nottinghamshire County Council is recruiting an Enterprising Environment Manager to work closely with the Team Manager, Natural Environment Manager, and the Director of Greenwood Community Forest to generate income and support ambitious environmental goals.

Role Details

Salary: £47,181 - £52,413 per annum. Vacancy type: Permanent. Work pattern: Full Time. Hours per week: 37. Work base: County Hall, West Bridgford, NG2 7QP. Working arrangements: Hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire entrepreneurial expertise to develop business improvements and commercial opportunities.
  • Drive development by identifying and implementing opportunities to generate income to support environmental ambitions.
  • Build partnerships by developing cross‑regional collaborations to secure green finance investment.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of potential commercial partners and business opportunities.
  • Proven experience in project management and developing commercial strategies.
  • Strong enthusiasm for the natural and historic environment, including green spaces.
  • Experience in partnership development and stakeholder engagement.
