The Children and Families Department takes a strengths‑based approach to working with children, young people and families, and our partner agencies. We call this "Our Nottinghamshire Approach". We are seeking two Early Years Specialist Teachers to work closely with Private, Voluntary, Independent settings, Schools and Academies to promote high‑quality early education and childcare, raising attainment for vulnerable children and supporting early identification of SEND.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with early years providers to enhance educational practices.
- Support the early identification of children with SEND and enable providers to plan tailored interventions.
- Deliver training and guidance to staff in various settings.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of educational strategies on children's development.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience in early years education, including classroom teaching.
- A solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and relevant educational policies.
- Experience working with children with SEND and implementing effective interventions.
