Organisation: The Children and Families Department takes a strengths-based approach to working with children, families and partner agencies, aligned with the Our Nottinghamshire Approach.
Role focus: Early Years Quality Improvement Advisor within the Early Years Quality and Attainment Team. You will work with Early Years Specialist Teachers to promote and support high-quality early education and childcare provision and to raise attainment, particularly for vulnerable children. You will collaborate with early years providers to achieve this.
You Will Need:
- An Early Years degree or equivalent and substantial experience of leading and managing high quality early years provision for children aged 0-5
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle (unless disability precludes this)
- Detailed knowledge of current legislation, including the EYFS statutory framework, Ofsted inspection requirements, SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding practices
- Knowledge and experience of working with a range of vulnerable children and understanding relevant local/national policies
- Experience of collaborating with other professionals and agencies
- Excellent communication skills and a drive to ensure young children have the best start in life
There is 1 full-time post available. The work pattern is year-round, with some very occasional weekends and evenings.
