Looking ahead, local government reorganisation will create new opportunities to rethink how infrastructure, assets and growth are delivered across a wider footprint. You’ll play a central role in shaping that future, influencing new structures, defining priorities, and ensuring the organisation is ready to take its next step. In your first year, you’ll build on a strong foundation, maintaining financial stability, progressing a significant programme of capital receipts and disposals, and driving forward key programmes such as school place delivery and the future of our corporate estate.
Alongside this, you’ll bring clarity and direction to our growth and development functions, and establish yourself as a trusted, strategic voice shaping what comes next. You’ll already be operating at a senior level within a complex, large‑scale environment. You bring the commercial confidence to lead major programmes and partnerships, alongside the political awareness to navigate a public sector context with credibility and impact.
