Overview
Are you passionate about maps and GIS mapping? Are you interested in rights of way and access to the countryside? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Definitive Map Review Officer to join a team of dedicated Countryside Access Officers, who are responsible for the management and recording of the County’s public rights of way network. Based at West Bridgford, with flexible hybrid working, you will assist in digitising and updating the County’s record of public rights of way, the Definitive Map and Statement. You will be required to support the Countryside Access Team and produce maps using your knowledge and interest in Geographical Information Systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in digitising and updating the County’s record of public rights of way, the Definitive Map and Statement.
- Produce maps using GIS tools such as Mapinfo.
- Support the Countryside Access Team in maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications
- Motivated with an interest in public rights of way.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of GIS (e.g., Mapinfo).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively organise own time and workload.
